A Trip To Northern Spain

Trip to northern spain for a holiday and to meet up with MB for a few days collecting.

our first trip out looking at some fossil sites took us to morella castellon .

some of the Aptian echinoid sp recorded Heteraster oblongus,Coenholectypus similis,Salenia grasi,Leptosalenia prestensis, Tetragramma almerai,and then a stop for a few beers and onto another site where we found Goniopygus delphinensis .a great day out recording

our 2nd trip out to huesca province Aragon region

another echinoid site sp recorded were amblypgus dilatus eupatagus aragonensis parosoma dallonii and conoclypus conoideus.

and ofcourse a stop off for a few beers and then on to another site for the crab zanthopsis duforii.

Cool terrain--and nice heart urchin. More pics! That terrain looks just like areas of Central Texas

Ya if it weren't continental drift we would be collecting stuff like that here, maybe? <_<

I am very happy because you had a very nice time in Spain Andy, but be careful because for Alex it is Catalonia :P;) .

The crabs are great and i am really looking forward to visit that outcrop one day!!

Alex Congratulation for the Champions and remember you just need 6 more to have the same than Madrid jejejejeejej :D:D . I am really looking forward to meet you at Millau fair!!!

Just talked to MB. Hes having a great time with the sports stuff happening right now and was saying he had a great time fossil hunting. Nice crabs man. Nothing better than being out there and finding your own crabs! Wow!!! How I envy that.

Those are awesome! Makes me want to get on the plane now. I had no idea the motherland had such cool fossils!

Tximi, like other things in the life, in sport, if possible, the most important is not the WHAT but the HOW ;) and this time the HOW was wonderful :applause:

Txemi, Andy were in Catalonia for holidays, but the fossil trips...yes, was on Spain ...Aragón, Regne de València... :P

I hope meet all of you in Millau, could be terrific, at least I know is possible that Txemitku and Trilospain will go there, sure Antonio, Alopias, David and me, perhaps Patarradio and more
