South Texas Body Count

Recommended Posts

My friend Richard and I worked an exposure of Escondido limestone for 3 hours yesterday and took 31 Sphenodiscus ammonites plus one ribbed ammonite (Coahuilites?) and one Eutrephoceras nautiloid in addition to some cool gastropods. From there the Corsicana formation gave up 3 nice Dakoticancer crab carapaces, lots of Hemiaster bexari echinoids, a dozen shark and fish teeth, one Eutrephoceras nautiloid, one Pachydiscus ammonite, and one Linthia echinoid. Not bad for a day that was over by 4. Pics in my June report......

Sheesh, your only up to April... two more months to wait? Sounds like Bait and switch to me! :D

I can never open your trip reports. So Im always wondering. Dang!!!

RB

They are PDF files, so you will need Adobe Reader if you don't already have it, available free at www.adobe.com. If you have trouble opening them online, then go to the trip reports page, right click on the file name and save it to your PC (which will take a little while), then you will probably have a lot better luck opening them from your hard drive. Hope that helps.

RB has a pretty slow connection, living out in the wilderness like he does. Transmitting large digital files via smoke-signal takes a lot of patience... :P

I had the same problem when I used to have dial-up. Big files and fancy pages would not open very well. So downloading the file first (even though it takes several minutes) will be his best option for viewing them. Ah, the wilderness. Everytime I visit it, I wonder what am I doing in the city?
