steelhead9
I found this shark's tooth on Martha's Vineyard. Mostly I find megalodon teeth there but the cusp has me confused. The tooth measures 4.175" long. Thanks! Still Life Fossils
sixgill pete
I believe this is a meg also. What you are calling a cusp is actually a part of the main blade. It just appears to be a cusp because of the small missing piece of tooth. All of the teeth I have ever seen from there are Miocene / Pliocene. 1 Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt behind the trailer, my desert Them red clay piles are heaven on earth I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt Patterson Hood; Drive-By Truckers May 2016 May 2012 Aug 2013, May 2016, Apr 2020 Oct 2022

Peto Lithos
I heard about Martha's Vineyard having fossils. I checked it out on google maps and found one. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Martha's+Vineyard/@41.3473641,-70.8380658,3a,15y,54.93h,40.33t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1s-PF7rDSodpLI%2FV5-sL_k8TlI%2FAAAAAAAACsA%2FVrcAzaR4k5wYshP_hctoovmkGofJXYRuwCLIB!2e4!3e11!6s%2F%2Flh4.googleusercontent.com%2F-PF7rDSodpLI%2FV5-sL_k8TlI%2FAAAAAAAACsA%2FVrcAzaR4k5wYshP_hctoovmkGofJXYRuwCLIB%2Fw234-h106-k-no-pi0-ya230.50002-ro-0-fo100%2F!7i8704!8i4352!4m21!1m15!4m14!1m6!1m2!1s0x89e84023525f3157:0xf0344326d52e0458!2s6+Davids+Way,+Port+Jefferson,+NY+11777!2m2!1d-73.0588609!2d40.96464!1m6!1m2!1s0x89e525890034153b:0xf5d72dfce4b4bc43!2sMartha's+Vineyard,+Massachusetts!2m2!1d-70.645473!2d41.3804981!3m4!1s0x89e525890034153b:0xf5d72dfce4b4bc43!8m2!3d41.3804981!4d-70.645473!6m1!1e1
Max-fossils
Wow, that's an amazing find! And what do you mean, "ah, too bad", are you unhappy with it being a meg?! If you don't like it, I'd love it, and I'm pretty sure everyone else here would love it too!!! Best regards and congrats on the find, Max Max Derème "I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil. The tooth I thought was a ric is on the bottom in this photo. Still Life Fossils
