lone5wolf117
Is this supposedly a T-Rex tooth from Hell Creek Formation ? i dont see any serrations could be worn out the size is 3 3/4 inch and any restorations or repair to it ?
-Andy-
I say no. 1) It doesn't look thick enough for a Rex. The shape is too recurved for my liking. 2) There's some very strange repairs done to the tooth. I see possible filler 3) The color is off too. The tooth may be painted. All in all, I see too many red flags on this tooth. Avoid it. 1 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
LordTrilobite
I agree that this looks painted or stained. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

jpc
There is at least one piece of real fossil in there... the little rectangle at the base of the tooth in the first photo., but otherwise, I am having a hard time seeing any actual tooth. Yes, definitely painted. I get red flags all over this one.
Susan from PA
I agree with all of the above. I'm having a hard time seeing anything on this one that resembles a T.rex tooth. I would definitely pass on this one.
