ammolite65 Posted July 19, 2009 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Hi there, I am not an expert on TX fossil, but I am pretty sure that is not a snail but a nautilus. Three reasons . . the coiled shaped is definately nautiloid, the straight chamber walls (not sutred like amminoids) and finally the very rounded keel is very much a nautilus trait.
