Ok...another Pond Bone

Ok, I know how you all love this... :P

this was found in association with a whale tympanic. Definitely bone as the cell structure is visable in person. Any ideas on what bone?

Looks like a piece of Mammoth or Mastodon tooth.

If only my teeth are so prized a million years from now!

:) I can see where you are going with the lines on the one shot, but a Mammoth tooth (like the one below) consists of plates glued together by dentine (if I'm correct). This is a solid bone.

whale skull piece maybe? the linear characteristics of your bone are commonly seen on skull pieces
