ashcraft Posted July 18, 2009 Share Posted July 18, 2009 We have Chesterian age material here, and there have been shark spines found. Unfortunatly, that does not include me. They have been described in some publications, and the pictures do resemble what you have. Try googling "Chesterian age shark spine", or similar, and it should point you in ht e right direction. Guest N.AL.hunter Posted July 18, 2009 Share Posted July 18, 2009 I cant see the details enough to Id it, but the spines around here usually have very obvious lines running parallel with the length and often one edge has small bumps.
