DE&i
Picked up a Bison sp Radius from a recent organised field trip below. Showed and compared with another almost identical (Devensian stage) Bison sp fused Radius-Ulna, both bones are (Devensian stage) (25,000 years ago) in age. Would you know @Harry Pristis what these markings (close up photos) would indicate please on the Bison sp Radius below. 1 Regards.....D&E&i The only certainty with fossil hunting is the uncertainty. https://lnk.bio/Darren.Withers

Harry Pristis
Isn't that the fusion scar between the radius and ulna? http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

I’ve no idea I’m afraid, would this suggest the Ulna was not completely fused as shown with the other Radius-Ulna. Harry Pristis
Yes. These two are separate bones embryologically. They fuse (ankylose) as they approach adulthood. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
