JohnJ Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Hey Link, from a layman's perspective, it appears you just have a fortuitously eroded piece of the Patuxent Formation (part of the Potomac Group). A quick read of the formation seems to fit the much better pics of your specimen. Keep trying, but in a different formation; that one sounds pretty "barren". HERE is a 1911 Google book.
