Finds From The Weekend

Hi,

no Shark Teeth at the weekend but a few bones I took home

from the beach in milnerton.

Any idea from what animal they are?

Nice finds sorry can not help with ID. #7 & 8 look very thin walled which leads me to think bird??? They are all very interesting can not wait to see what the others have to say

Pic 5-8 is the same bone if this is a bird bone the bird must have been hugh :drool: .

The left bone in Pic 10-11 is apparently from a young seal and

no fossil :blush: .

The large hollow bones are mammal with the inner part eroded out. Never mind the antler thats wrong. It does seem to be a Anterior rib maybe Scapula and the 9 & 10 pic on the right looks like a Clavical bone.

The best days are spent collecting fossils

Seal radius - juvenile but why do you think it's not a fossil?

Because I think it is to light and feels like a normal bone.

Other fossil bones I have make a distinctive sound when you knock them on stone this one

makes no sound at all.
