This might be quartz, but its reddish hue is unusual...it could have iron impurities...but I need help!

Yep..Quartz with Hematite impurities - no doubt about it.

Be true to the reality you create.

Gold must be near by!!

Well, this was found in Yosemite National Park, CA...and northern CA is known to have gold deposits...so it is likely. I have never found gold, though. <_<
