I Found These Washed Ashore! (nc)

Hey All!

I found these three little guys in surf of North Carolina's Outerbanks...

I think the first one looks like a trilo... but I dont know what the others are.... one looks like it COULD be coral, and the other, at first glance, looked like a 'dillo shell.

I would agree that the largest piece is most likely a tumbled piece of colonial coral. The next smaller piece looks like an fossil algal formation maybe? I can't see enough on the smallest piece but it does give the impression of a trilobite.

Haha... the smallest (trilo one) can fit in between two legal lines.... quite small...

I've never seen anyone do a trilobite impression although a buddy once showed be his brachiopod impression.

The Red Dot is the cut off end (The right side in the upper picture)

and the Blue Triangle is the rounded end... (Left side in upper picture)
