jeepinthemud
Hey All! I found these three little guys in surf of North Carolina's Outerbanks... I think the first one looks like a trilo... but I dont know what the others are.... one looks like it COULD be coral, and the other, at first glance, looked like a 'dillo shell. Shamalama
I would agree that the largest piece is most likely a tumbled piece of colonial coral. The next smaller piece looks like an fossil algal formation maybe? I can't see enough on the smallest piece but it does give the impression of a trilobite. -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. jeepinthemud
Haha... the smallest (trilo one) can fit in between two legal lines.... quite small... I've never seen anyone do a trilobite impression although a buddy once showed be his brachiopod impression. BTW You are in Norristown? I don't recognize you from your avatar so you must not belong to DVPS.
flyguy784
Not a Trilobite. Like to see a pic of the bottom.
jeepinthemud
The Red Dot is the cut off end (The right side in the upper picture) and the Blue Triangle is the rounded end...
