lawooten
I know that tusk will have inner rings like a tree sort of and teeth usually don't with the exception of whale teeth that is. I say tooth. What state and what area (Northeast part for example) General locations help to make identification. I had gotten this stuff in a yard sale from a lady and her husband was a rock collector & gold hunter their were some gold in the box also in quartz. He had spent a lot of time on the kern river and fraiser park in southern california and AZ NM and such she said.their were also some shark teeth see images below some of them are serated about an inch and the other tooth is about inch also. It was a neat find for me but he probly had a lot more fun himself. Well thanks Again for the info Austin

Boesse
Definitely a walrus postcanine tooth (either premolar or molar). These are often purchased from Inuit hunters in Alaska. Bobby
