I found this fish for sale online.

There is only one picture and not a very clear one. It's simply described as rare fish.

Can anybody tell me if this a fish from the Santana Formation in Brazil?

Rhacolepis buccalis from Brazil. Definitely not a rare fish.

And I usually ignore claims of "rare" on the auction sites. Sometimes it is true, but other times it is just to attract attention by giving the item a bit more allure. I've seen very common species listed as "super duper ultra rare!" :P
