DatFossilBoy
Hi all. I saw really nice Albertosaurus tooth for not too expensive but still quite a bit (because it’s a Tyrannosaurid) I was wondering if I should consider getting it,for my birthday. It would be a really nice piece, especially removed from its matrix, cleaned, reglue and possibly restaured. What do you think? Here are some pictures. Thanks for your advice! Appreciate it. Runner64
It looks to be in a really poor condition and very fragmented but something about the tooth in matrix draws me in. I think it’s all about personal preference
Troodon
I'm not sure you have the entire tooth there to reglue. Looks like the one side is missing some fragments and the entire bottom is not there. So I dont think its a good candidate to wind up with a complete tooth. On the description Albertosaurus are not found in the Judith River Formation its a Tyrannosaurid indet, either Daspletosaurus or Gorgosaurus
DatFossilBoy
But most of the tooth is here right? I know some pieces are missing but the holes could be refilled? Troodon
Where are these pieces? Again why the rush save your money and purchase something more complete
indominus rex
It's not a bad piece, but why don't you save and wait for something better to drop by. Also you will for sure get something good from your Birthday. 1 Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils.
Baryonyx
If it is cheap for a tyrannosaur tooth, I would buy it but if it isn't, I wouldn't.

Miocene_Mason
I for one think it looks kinda cool being in the matrix like that, but perhaps not a great representative specimen. Then again, my tyrannosaurid is pitifully incomplete so perhaps my opinions carry little weight on the matter. 1 Happy hunting, Mason
