megateeth
People ask me if I bring all the broken stuff up and I say that I do. Yesterday I was diving and found a root from a Meg and stuck it in the bag. 15 or so minutes later I found a big broken tooth and it turned out the root that I found was from the big Meg. It measures 6-1/8". It is a heartbreaker but it is better with the root. This is some kind of jaw bone full of really sharp teeth. Of course I broke it on the way up but did not lose any of the teeth. These are two top quality smaller teeth with sharp serrations and tip. The best find of the week is the 5.75" tooth. Some of the other teeth from the week. Megateeth Fossils - Megalodon Teeth, Other Shark Teeth and Info about Megalodon shark tooth collecting. megateeth
Very nice finds... Must be pretty through to find both pieces like that... The jaw is deer. Thanks for the id. I try to dig every bone out to see if it is interesting. It pays off because often a nice Meg tooth has so much mud caked to it that it does not feel like a tooth. Once I clean it off it was worth the extra time. The jaw bone felt like just another bone until I felt the teeth. PaleoRon
Nice find. I've done that a few times myself. A couple of years ago I matched up two half megs that I found 10 months apart. I always keep the large megs that have fresh looking breaks.
megateeth
Nice find. I've done that a few times myself. A couple of years ago I matched up two half megs that I found 10 months apart. I always keep the large megs that have fresh looking breaks. I had the same thing happen to a large Meg. I found the halves 8-12 months apart. It is one of the teeth sitting on my mantle. Traviscounty
Well, I got a pile of fossilized burrows, and none of them seem to match. Someday I'm gonna find the ultimate fossilized burrow. Then, nobody can touch me, and I will be the greatest collector of fossilized burrows in the world!

megateeth
i thought the jaw looked camel the teeth anyway forsure Aren't camel teeth similar in size to horse teeth. These are very small and the entire jaw bone is like 8" long. Megateeth Fossils - Megalodon Teeth, Other Shark Teeth and Info about Megalodon shark tooth collecting.
