New Members Surepop Posted August 20, 2009 New Members Share Posted August 20, 2009 My daughter found this fossil on 8-18-09 at an outcropping of Mississippian period red limestone. I believe the deposit to be of the Boone Formation and St Joe strata. It is in north central Arkansas (Marion County) and about the 800 foot elevation here in the Ozarks. We have found crinoid heads and stems here as well as bryzoa, brachiopods and Archemides screw. I am trying to post pictures of opposing sides that were taken from opposing ends. Penny in picture for size reference.
