Hi, yesterday i found my first trilobites. They are from the french Eifelian : - 390 to - 380 Million of Years.

Most of them are very fractioned and the rest is worn but i show here the more presentable ones. I guess they are phacopids. One phacopid mentionned in the geologic file is Phacops fecundus degener. But Asteropyge punctata is also mentionned.

Congratulations on your first trilobites!  In all the years I've been looking for fossils, I've never found a trilobite.  Of course, in my defense, I've never really gone looking for them!  You don't find many trilobites in the Eocene - Pleistocene sediments that I frequent!

Nice trilobites! :)

Well done.

And i agree that the other two are solitary rugose 'horn' corals.

Thank you all. I think i'll class those trilobites in the Phacopids incertae class. Nonetheless, i'm sure the big cephalon and pygidiums are from the fecundus degener species because they can be big.

Just under the trilobite strata, there are crinoïd columns limestones, also from the Eifelian. I found some with a lot of spiriferids Inside the blocks.

Mr. Dubois my high school french teacher lol. At the end of the year we would have a party at his house for french club and anyone else in his classes. Since we were out on summer break and not governed by school rules, he would demonstrate the colorful use of the french language for us .  Latin club was even better. Mr. Schot would through toga parties with a huge bon fire...tables full of food. Once he made us all only speak in latin. Needless to say, it was the only time as it was difficult to converse with the 1st semester students.

My Younger son went in Rostof the great at about 200 km East of Moscow. He participated to the restauration of an old dacha with russians youngs.

A girl asked him to help her saying a sentence in french. He asked her to repeat : Je suis une fille bien (I'm a good girl).

She repeated : Je suis une chienne (I'm a female dog).

My grandfather was arrested at a protest of some sort (he is, or was, a civil rights activist so not his first rodeo), and he called his mother (my great grandmother) to tell here he had been arrested for protestation. She misheard and spent the night confused as to why he was arrested for prostitution. And one wonders how oral traditions are warped.:)

Makes me wonder how the Native Australians kept their stories straight on giant lizards.
