RCFossils
I am planning a trip this weekend to Niagara Falls and was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions on productive sites to look for fossils. I will be driving from the Chicago area and am hopiing to find some good roadcuts along the way. I would greatly appreciate if anyone might have any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Guest Smilodon
The Niagara River Gorge used to be famous for fossils. My 93-year-old mother used to collect fossils there when she was in college. Check with the Niagara Falls Aquarium. I think they have some fossil info there. Another place is the Penn Dixie Quarry - open to the public from 8-12 on Saturdays, I think. www.penndixie.org And roadcuts. That's all I got. It's not supposed to snow is it?
