Heavy texture: Is this geological or fossil?

Found on Myrtle Beach. Absolutely no clue! The smooth back is black. The pitted front is reddish brown.

Agreed: definitely fossil bone.

Yes.

As others said it is a bone, a small fragment from a large flat bone.
