pharoh Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 On US27 going south from SOUTH BAY ,about 15 miles,there is what I assume to be a phosphate mine.Along the side of the road is a 20ft.pile of dirt that runs for 5 miles or so.every time I go to miami I see it ,and start to drool.does anyone know anything at all about it?I would love to dig there.Of course there are NO TRESSPASSING signs painted on 4x8 sheets of plywood.you can see the piles great on google earth.especially from the street veiw pics.its about 15 miles north of the WEST PALM/DADE county line.the aerial road marker says US25 until you start to zoom in ,then shows both 27/25,for you out of staters who want to have a peek.thanks everyone ,keep on diggin'.
