Fiwi
Hi! I found my way to this forum after I recently discovered a tooth on a beach where I typically hunt for arrowheads. I have no idea what kind of animal it belonged to or how old it might be. All I know is that we have no animals currently living in my area that can claim such a tooth! I hope someone might be able to help me i.d. it and I'm looking forward to learning more about fossils in general from all of you. Thanks in advance for your help. Fiwi
i guess you found it in maryland? Yes. I'm on the Eastern Shore. I figured a bear tooth too. I'm not sure how old it could be, but there aren't bears in this area anymore.

I think it's pretty obvious that it isn't a fossil and since there aren't any bears in the area, maybe it isn't a bear tooth.
