Western coast of Ireland

Headed to Ireland at the end of this week. Staying on the Shannon area and spending the majority of the time and activity on the western coast. Any tips for fossil hunting any the area? Any restrictions I need to be aware of? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. 

 

Im really asking because I had no success last year and am hoping to avoid a similar experience this time.

 

Don’t get me wrong - The trip is amazing with or without fossils.

Hey Mike, 

 

I know I found some coral fossils on a beach at Rosses Point,  in County Sligo. 

 

 

About 2.5 hours away from Shannon, though. 

Saw a lot of neat trace fossils at Ennistimon, and at the Cliffs of Moher.
