BLT
I am wondering if this hash plate from Penn Dixie has the cephalon imprint from a large trilobite, or is it from something else?
Fossildude19
Definitely a cephalon imprint of an Eldredgeops. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." gigantoraptor
Is this an imprent? This is indeed the cephalon of a trilobite Eldredgeops rana, but it looks like the actual fossil.Or is it because of the lightning?

It’s a bit shiny because I applied super glue to it yesterday in hopes of it not disintegrating. I’ve been wondering if that was a dumb idea? Although dry now, it did have a bit of a pooling in the indentations. I believe that is what is causing the 3D appearance in the pics.
