Tooth Frag?

This is what I'm calling a tooth fragment one of our crew found a couple trips back. Didn't pay much attention to it, is after all a fragment apparently, but not quite like any of our teeth found to date. It's an older piece, solid glossy stone. 2 and 3/8 inches long by about 7/8 at its widest point.

Like 'em, no. I LOVE 'em! Cool beans. A first for our bunch. Thank you.

it's not only mammoth - it's a pretty piece of enamel. some of that stuff turns blazing orange while fossilizing, and it's just gorgeous.
