Lindsey Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 We have too many pieces of bone to ID but this one looks like it fossilized differently and is lighter weight than others it's size, I am aware it is a bit river worn found in the NSR. tracer Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 fragments like that are normally something i consider unidentifiable from a practical standpoint. sometimes when i see the broad flares which are about the only remaining visible morphological features on that piece, i start thinking maybe turtle, but my recommendation would be that you consider that piece to be possibly pleistocene and unidentifiable.
